Europe's Ryder Cup: Brian Moore counts down the most exciting moments from France

The European pair of Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia finished with the best ever two teams over any European captain’s opening day, and a pair of rookies, each one scoring what felt like the win of their lives, kept the European bag very nicely topped. The rest of the Europeans were rather humbler in victory, but no less fulfilling.

We may have been talking about the late fading of Justin Rose in the fourth day’s singles, but the days following was certainly not shamefully dull for the Europeans.
